Jyotsnáy ámi dekhechi
Shata janamer áshá púrańer
Ánandete metechi

Ceyechile tumi shudhu
Adharete chilo madhu
Cáṋdni sáṋjher snigdha vidhu
Tomáy káche peyechi

Kaoni kathá tumi kono
Neiko táte duhkha jeno
Maner májhe rájádhiráje
Ápan kare niyechi

কাল সন্ধ্যায় প্রথম তোমায়
জ্যোৎস্নায় আমি দেখেছি
শত জনমের আশা পূরণের
আনন্দেতে মেতেছি

চেয়েছিলে তুমি শুধু
অধরেতে ছিলো মধু
চাঁদনি সাঁঝের স্নিগ্ধ বিধু
তোমায় কাছে পেয়েছি

কওনি কথা তুমি কোনো
নেইকো তাতে দুঃখ জেনো
মনের মাঝে রাজাধিরাজে

O Lord, yesterday evening in moonlight,
I saw You for the first time.
With the fulfillment of desire,
which was carried through several lives,
I was intoxicated with bliss.
You were simply looking,
with sweetness on the lips.
O the soft moon of the moonlit evening,
I found You close.
You did not say anything,
as if there would be no pain.
O the King of Kings,
