Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Je path dhariyá caliyáchilo prabhu
Jata tápas more se pathe cáláo áj
Áloke udbhásita satye unmocita
Se path dhariyá cale jábo tyaji láj

Thákuk shata upal thákuk jata káṋt́á
Joyáre bahiyá jábo mánibo ná bháṋt́á
Tomári rashmipáte tomári bháver srote
Bhese jábo seje jeman parábe sáj

Tomár pathe prabhu náhiko kona bhay
Karuńákańá dio ei shudhu anunay
Ket́e jábe jata moha ket́e jábe saḿshay
Drŕha pade jábo kariyá tomár káj

O Lord, the path holding on to which,
You have made all the ascetics to move,
make me also move on that path today.
Illuminated with effulgence,
uncovered with truth,
I shall go on moving on that path,
leaving shyness.
Let there be hundreds of stones,
let there be many thorns,
I shall go on flowing into the rising tides
without accepting the reverse flow.
With fall of Your rays,
into the stream of Your ideation,
I shall go on floating
for putting on the adornment.
O Lord, on Your path there is no fear.
Give me a wee bit of Your mercy,
this is my only prayer.
All infatuation and doubts would tear away.
With firm foot, I shall go on doing Your work.
