Andhakárer májhe álo elo
Pratham prabhát elo
Kichu ná thákár buke sabi elo
Práńe dhará bhare gelo

Je bhuvan paŕechilo riktatáte
Druta se egiye gelo púrńa hate
Áshár madirá elo ańumanete
Vishva jágiyá ut́hilo

Náná ráge náná rúpe e diipávalii
Jvaliyá ut́hilo nabhe drśt́i meli
Práń spandane elo kalakákali
Viińá jhauṋkrta halo

অন্ধকারের মাঝে আলো এলো
প্রথম প্রভাত এলো
কিছু না থাকার বুকে সবই এলো
প্রাণে ধরা ভরে' গেলো

যে ভুবন পড়েছিলো রিক্ততাতে
দ্রুত সে এগিয়ে গেল পূর্ণ হতে
আশার মদিরা এলো অণুমনেতে
বিশ্ব জাগিয়া উঠিলো

নানা রাগে নানা রূপে এ দীপাবলী
জ্বলিয়া উঠিলো নভে দৃষ্টি মেলি'
প্রাণ স্পন্দনে এলো কলকাকলী
বীণা ঝঙ্কৃত হলো

Light came amid darkness,
the first morning appeared.
At the bosom of nothingness,
everything came and the earth
became filled with vital energy.
The universe that was lying in voidness,
it started moving fast
on becoming complete.
Into the unit minds,
the intoxicant of aspiration
came and the world awakened up.
It was a festival of lights
with innumerable forms and colors
that started glowing in the cosmos
with open eyes.
With the vibration of life, noise came
and the viin’a’ started tinkling.
