History

Sarkarverse was founded in October 2013 by Acarya Abhidevananda Avadhuta. In early 2013 Abhidevananda and few other editors were working in Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar related articles in Wikipedia (English). There their a series of articles were challenged and finally deleted or merged for lack of secondary sources. After the incident, Abhidevananda almost left Wikipedia and stored all the articles from Wikipedia in the website onlyhis.name. In the preface to the project in that website, Abhidevananda wrote—[1]

As is well-known, Wikipedia suffers from a considerable amount of systemic bias. Furthermore, many senior editors openly acknowledge that Wikipedia does not “do truth”. An over-reliance on secondary sources often results in articles that are nothing but book reviews of book reviews.

He wanted to create a Wikipedia type encyclopedia for Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar, his works and Ananda Marga. In October 2013, the Sarkarverse was planned and in the same month initial works of the website were started.
