Bhule jata abhimáne

Suramya prastare nirmita mandir
Sushobhita sarovar púta tiirther niiŕ
Káro káche náhi giye kona kichu náhi niye
Kena ele rikta mane

Je agnishikhá diye jválao dhúmketu
Je vahnijválá bhaye ghure cale ráhuketu
Je svarúp sthitite nihita sakal hetu
Sabe t́áno tári páne

এসেছ এসেছ
তুমি এসেছ কিসেরই টানে
ধরার ধূলির 'পরে নিজে নেবেছ
ভুলে' যত অভিমানে

সুরম্য প্রস্তরে নির্মিত মন্দির
সুশোভিত সরোবর পূত তীর্থের নীর
কারো কাছে নাহি গিয়ে কোন কিছু নাহি নিয়ে
কেন এলে রিক্ত মনে

যে অগ্নিশিখা দিয়ে জ্বালাও ধূমকেতু
যে বহ্নিজ্বালা ভয়ে ঘুরে' চলে রাহুকেতু
যে স্বরূপ স্থিতিতে নিহিত সকল হেতু
সবে টানো তারই পানে

O lord, you have come with whose pull?
on the dust of the earth,
you came down yourself,
ignoring all feelings.
there were temples constructed
with beautiful stones, decorated ponds,
and pious water of the pilgrimage.
you did not go anywhere,
did not take anything,
why did you come with empty mind?
the flame of fire with which
you burn the comet,
the torch of fire afraid of which,
the demonic planets,
ra’hu and ketu run away,
the stable form in which
all purpose is located,
you pull all towards yourself.
